I’m so sad to hear the passing of the great music composer Antón García Abril last Wednesday. His music is pure poetry. I was very lucky to be his student during a few weeks composition course I did in Santiago de Compostela when I was 19. I really loved composing, but I wasn’t very good at it, to be honest.., and the other two students in this course were professional composers, way better and with much higher knowledge in music than me! But despite of that, the experience was amazing. He knew how to inspire us, he told us stories about his life, music and experiences and made the classes so pleasant that I felt even more in love with music and composition. I’ll always treasure that summer. At the end I suppose it wasn’t my path. And it’s ok. The important thing is to find your own way to express yourself. •These are sketches I made looking at some youtube interviews with the great Antón García Abril. A really small token of my gratitude. My condolences to the family and friends. ••••#drawing #sketch #studies #fastdrawing #music #quotes #musician #antongarciaabril @garciaabrilanton #composer #artist #art #artistsoninstagram #portrait #rotring #penart
